People have got back together after the ugliest breakups and most extreme cases of infidelity and abuse. The reason that odds say that you won’t win back the love of your life is because you don’t know what you should do so you will make the same mistakes millions of others make.
Don’t bombard them with phone calls and texts. Just because you are not in their life every waking second does not mean they will forget about you if you don’t call or text or email every second of everyday. Give them their space.
Don’t make excuses for everything that happened to put you in the situation your in now. Realize that mistakes were made, on both sides, and own up to them. Some of them can be minor and some can be major. Just don’t make excuses because eventually you will start to believe them yourself and start to feel bitter towards your ex.
Don’t make life altering or even minor promises that you have no intention of keeping just to get them back in your life. They probably won’t believe most of them anyway. You can’t just make promises and expect them to believe them. Instead, show them what you mean by your actions.
Your significant other will be more responsive to your suggestions and promises if they see that you are actually taking steps to improve yourself. Just don’t go out of your way to flaunt these to them because it will make you look petty.
